Elstern Park is driven by the sole focus of providing clients with an optimum investment service, with transparency & integrity at the heart of everything we do.
The Elstern Park model is centred around a ‘Managed Account’ model, also sometimes known as an SMA (Separately Managed Account), MDA (Managed Discretionary Account) or IMA (Individually Managed Account). There are some minor differences in the effective structure of each of these model types, although for the sake of clarity, we refer to the Elstern Park model as a Managed Account solution.
We believe that Managed Accounts are the most beneficial client structure for all of our clients, which, are limited to Wholesale and Sophisticated investors (as prescribed by ASIC, under section 708 of appropriate guidelines).
In the seemingly never ending world of investment options, structures & options, Elstern Park Asset Management (EPAM) have focussed solely on providing Managed Account solutions, as they provide a range of benefits to the client, including but not limited to:
Direct Ownership
Direct ownership of all assets, and sole title to the account in which the assets are held — in the case of Elstern Park, all clients are allocated their own specific account with the world-leading institutional grade broker, Interactive Brokers.
Convenience
Convenience to ensure the account can be managed with investments in line with the agreed mandate, without additional advice documentation requirements.
Tax Efficiency
Tax efficiency and individual tax treatments, meaning that unlike with pooled investment funds, EPAM clients do not inherit any existing tax positions and have a completely stand-alone tax consideration in line with their account structure.
Discretion
Total account structuring discretion — for example, clients can elect to utilise SMSF, individual, trust or other account types, as they see fit. All account types are treated equally in respect of investment and trade allocation.
Transparency
Absolute transparency, ensuring that clients can view each and every holding, in detail, at any time and with live market updates.
Diversification
The EPAM model is managed in accordance with the overarching strategy outlined, although the Managed Account model allows your Portfolio Manager and analyst team to identify and act quickly on opportunities that arise, in all publicly traded exchanges and global markets. Our clients are not limited in their exposure to one particular region or one inflexible fund-type.

Interactive Brokers is renowned globally as a leading institutional broker, with some of the most highly regarded risk management and technology tools available to industry professionals.
When an EPAM client entrusts us with managing their investments, the allocation is held in the client’s own name, within their own preferred structure, with one of the most highly rated brokerages in the world.
The team at EPAM manages these investments, equally, as part of the Advisor platform, which automatically manages all accounts equally (including the Founding Partners’ accounts) for all trade execution.
Clients can be confident in knowing that their Portfolio Managers and several key EPAM shareholders are fully invested alongside them, with the identical account treatment and management models applied.
